Themes: Water

Another review of themes whilst I take a moment to re-calibrate

Water has featured a lot in my life and as such it is not surprising it is a co-star in much of my photography over the years; be it canals, streams, fountains, rivers, lakes or the sea I have shot it at some point.  I am happiest when I am near, on or even in the water and if I can combine that with a camera (or a bike) even better!

PoF: Frozen Water

Took this last weekend, I liked the way the sun was backlighting it.  I kinda rushed it and if I took it again would have tried to get a better angle for the background.  Fairly happy with it anyway.

Then just so there is actual water (as the tower is empty as I understand) here is one of my archive pictures

California Drought -Angelenos doing all they can? Really?

I read recently that in a recent survey “Southern Californians feel they have nothing left to give when it comes to conservation. Most of those surveyed said they had done all they could to reduce water usage at home” – really?

As I ride around my area I see a lot of sprinklers inefficiently spraying water across grass verges and onto paths with gallons just going into the gutter and away… and not just residential land either, I see water spraying on the side of the freeway too.
