A white September

So September came and went super fast; so much happened and it went by in a flash.  As a result focusing on taking shots of white things for my ‘12 colours of 2018‘ challenge just didn’t happen.

So the below shots are a selection of shots I took on the Kauai trip that just happened to be of white things.  Apologies as most of them are (predictably) of flowers.

I will try to do better in October looking for Purple things to shoot.

July was Blue and August too

Another colour themed post

So for many reasons the July hunt for Blue was a bit of a wash out, actually wash is probably not the right word more the opposite as a primary issue was that it was so hot here getting out to shoot was uncomfortable.

As I was thinking of switching the colours slightly anyway (monocrome is not a colour) I decided to extend blue into August.

As it was I didn’t fair much better in August but here is my selection for your enjoyment.

June was Pink

The next edition of my series on colours for 2018 which picks a feature colour for each month of the year; June was Pink.

Grey May

This is another post in my series for this year called the  Colours of 2018 and the month of may was grey (not gray).

Shooting things that are grey can be a little uninspiring but a good challenge; here are my picks.

So there is more than grey in this shot I know, but I like the coloured accents and the shadow

April was Yellow

This is the fourth post in my series for Colours of 2018, focussing on specifoic colours for each month of the year. April was the colour of Yellow.

My sunglasses on the passenger seat; I liked how the sun was hitting them.

March is Aqua

I have to admit that I struggled with this this months colour.  Mostly because of an unexpected trip to the UK as my daughter was taken seriously ill so three weeks were lost in that respect.

Here are a few meagre offerings;

February is Green

This is the second installment of my series featuring different colours for each month; see first edition here.

Surprisingly (to me) I struggled with green this month as I tried to avoid just taking picture of plants and I couldn’t find much of interest otherwise.

12 colours of 2018 – Orange January

I uploaded some pictures to a competition a little while ago.  I didn’t win anything but it got me thinking.  The competition called for Yellow pictures; pictures that featured the colour Yellow.

So I thought it might be fun throughout 2018 to pick a colour for each month and throughout the month look out for that colour and try to shoot as many things as I can.  Then showcase what I have got at the end of each month.
