To anyone outside my head, my thought processes may seem strange; my four year old bike is in need of a service so I need to buy a 30 year old one. But sometimes things in one’s head aren’t always fathomable and that’s where I was/am.

I have had my Motobecane Mirage SL for about 4 years now and I’ve ridden over 5,000 fairly hard miles on it; that’s pretty good for a bike purchased for just under $450 (USD).

At last i am back on the bike. I stepped out on a chilly Californian morning in glorious sunshine, clipped in to my pedals and headed out.
