Flying

Come fly with me…

This is another post from my recent trip to Kauai, Hawaii.

One thing that we promised ourselves when we were planning this trip as a wedding present to ourselves was a helicopter flight around the island.  There are quite a few operators doing this but we chose Jack Harter; firstly they offered the longest flight time (only by about 5 or 10 minutes but enough) second they offered doors-off flights and lastly well with a name like Jack Harter you’ve got to just go with it 🙂

Tips for atlantic flights

I have travelled back and forth across the atlantic between the UK and the West coast of the united states many times now and I thought that maybe I should share my strategies for surviving economy class and jet lag.

The tips are different depending on which way you are flying as going west you are extending your day usually racing the sunset and arriving the same day you left. Going the other way the day is going in the opposite direction and your day is shortened. Continue reading “Tips for atlantic flights”

Laptops on planes

It seems that in yet another overreaction to unidentified risk, travelling by plane is going to get even more annoying.

It is likely that Homeland Security is going to ban “large electronic devices‘ on planes from Europe (in addition to the restrictions already in place for middle eastern type locations).

35mm Film Shootist

Hi I'm Martin Smith, a amateur photographer that likes to shoot solely film. I use black & white with the odd colour image thrown in and mainly use a Leica M4-2 with Summicron 35mm and 50mm lenses. I tend to shoot anything I like, objects, scenes, landscape or street life.
