This weekend we went out on a surprisingly cold evening to see the lantern display at the LA Arboretum.  I took my Olympus Pen-f digital fitted with the 7artisans 25mm lens.  (These images are resized for web JPEGs straight out of the camera as I am without photo editing capability this week)

The event consists of a number of large displays along a mile or so of footpath.  Lanterns is probably under stating them somewhat as they are life sized (and in some cases bigger than life-sized) animals and characters.

We really enjoyed the event and the lanterns are extremely well done and detailed – well worth a visit if you can get tickets.  As as well as the lights themselves there are also some stage events going on in the centre of the area (we saw some Chinese Acrobatics) plus food trucks are on site to keep you warm and nourished.
