If you have been to Kaua’i (one of the islands of Hawai’i) you will quite likely think instantly of chickens; not beautiful beaches or hot weather or even Mai Tais… Chickens
Chickens on Kaua’i are like pigeons of London, they are everywhere! You are never more than 10 yards from a chicken in Kaua’i.
Apparently chickens were introduced when the first settlers came to the islands and as they had no predators they did very well. This was exacerbated by the Hurricane Iniki destroyed chicken enclosures in 1992 and since then the population exploded.
Anyway, as I have just come back from the islands, I thought that rather than another post about how amazing and wonderful the place is we’d just touch on some of the aspects. Here are some more chickens;
